The People of Paetec

Working at Paetec was a phenomenal experience. It was enjoyable enough to not even consider it "work.". Best of all however were the people. Paetec's most well known quality as a major telecommunications company is its personability, its unique strategy of superb customer service and support. Who'd of thunk that the atmosphere throughout the entire employee base was exactly the same.

Golf, what fore?

Golf is really hard. I golfed for the first time a week ago today, and once more this morning. There is no consistancy between holes, there is no time to practice and learn. What other game has such a handicap?

The Slow DrIvers are the Bad Drivers

Too many drivers just don't get it... Over the past few months I have been taking trips on the weekends to see my brother in Syracuse. The drive is only an hour and fifteen minutes but nearly all of it is on the Thruway. Highway driving is not something that I do often but I was surprised to see how many drivers contribute to traffic problems with their crappy driving.

There are two lanes. One is fast. One is slow. One is for passing, the other is for cruising. This is very simple to understand. There are even signs that hint to it. It is a fundamental rule in driving. I would go so far as to say that on the highway it is the rule to follow.

Sleep... I want it

I never realize how much I want sleep until the next morning. I have been in need of sleep for about a month now. Trust me, it is my fault and I know it. Its just that at the end of the day I just don't feel tired. I understand that if I went to bed at 11:00 I would feel very good the next day, but when its already 10:50 I know I could easily stay up past midnight working on some projects and having a good time.

A Community @ Experts Exchange

I started answering questions at Experts Exchange (EE) in February of 2006. I had only started working with html (not even CSS and PHP) in January. I used EE as an educational zone. There was always some problem to work on, people to turn learn from, and the gratification of helping other people. At the end of the year I had earned 6 EE Certifications in 5 categories and was 11th place for most points earned by a Rookie (members in their first year answering questions). I was in the top 400 of countless experts. Here is what it taught me:

Running Away

I had hundreds of ideas for my first articles for this website. Almost all of them have spurred from this nights exhausting run, so I thought I would tribute this first post to running, before I elaborate my the other stories. Many of the other stories I also thought might be a tad too personal to put on a blog even if I am sure that few, if any, will ever read it. So here goes...

Renderize Launch

The release of Renderize has taken me three months. I would argue that I have only really gotten 4 weekends of work on the website, but that is besides the point. The blog is functional, improvable, but certainly usable.
